- Provide innovative and high quality technical solutions within defined parameters to support our fast-paced, customer-focused business initiatives
- Partner with executive management to establish operational objectives and work plans in support of our global strategy
- Develop and execute a software development and HW/SW infrastructure strategy that drives the necessary TCO and supports global long-term strategy
- Develop and deliver performance plans and development plans to each member of the team; provide regular coaching as necessary to enhance team’s performance. Develop a team-oriented culture that emphasizes our core values.
- Conduct regular value audits with all key stakeholders to map performance strengths\development opportunities relative to stakeholder expectations. Create action plans to close the performance gaps.
- Maintain overall control of planning, staffing, budgeting, managing expense priorities, and recommending and implementing changes to management methods.
- Regularly interact with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions, and/or customers. Requires the ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance from, others in sensitive situations, without damage to the relationship.
- Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of the company. Participates in corporate development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people. Ensures budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements.
- As necessary, partner with the client Corporate IT team to ensure we optimize consistency, eliminate redundancy, and leverage skillets and processes. Influence policymaking.
- Lead Agile development environment including all areas of developing solutions: user story creation and estimation, automated testing, solution architecture, coding, and deployment
Qualification & Experience Required:
- Managing large organizations of 100+ people
- Global software development (onshore –offshore) experience
- Overall experience of 15+ years; 10 to 15 years of experience in delivering enterprise class solutions for a large organization. Over 10 years experience in managing and leading people.
- Leading critical software development / ERP implementation skills
- Building new applications
- Working with packaged solutions especially Oracle eBusiness, SAP solutions.
- Technical Skills
- Oracle ERP Applications Development
- Oracle ebusiness suite / SAP Implementation
- Multi-tier architecture using service oriented architectures (SOA)
- Exposure to building strong up and down stream interfaces with other enterprise class system
- Leading application development using .NET and Java / J2EE platforms
- Education\Certification
- Technical degree (Engineering /Computer Science or Management Information Systems)
Master degree preferred
- Project Management-ITIL/ PMI and/or CMM
- Experience leading large scale project initiatives with demonstrated implementation success
- Experience in addressing the challenges inherent in integrating multiple companies and systems
- Experience with project management methodologies
- Strong leadership skills and a proven track record of successful project/system implementations
- Strong listening skills
- Proven ability to work with global multi-location teams across time zones
- Proven ability to recruit, train and develop strong teams
- Ability to cultivate strong working relationships with peers, cross functional teams, and External Vendors
